Mr. Simmons holds his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the Eastman School of Music and a Master's degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Southern Mississippi. He also has another Master’s degree in Psychology from Meridian University in Petaluma, California. Mr. Simmons has studied piano with Ingrid Clarfield and Vincent Lenti, and harpsichord with Dana Ragsdale. Walter first got to know us as an intern when he was a student at Princeton Theological Seminary, and provided pulpit supply and secretarial help during former pastor Anita Milne's summer sabbatical in 2016. He has since served in several chaplaincy positions, and was ordained in our sanctuary in September of 2016. [read more...]
